main goal:

Zero-SWARM provides a methodological and technological framework aimed to be modular, open and reusable to address the quick uptake of advanced 5G technologies by the European manufacturing sector. This includes an open framework for the engineering and management of smart Cyber-physical Systems of Systems, relying on advanced industrial 5G communication, to enable resilience Zero-X manufacturing (zero defects, zero breakdowns, zero waste…). The project brings together separately maturing technologies of 5G and cloud-edge continuum, data technologies and analysis and operational technology in a multidisciplinary, human centric, objective oriented innovative approach to create data-driven, connected, Cyber-physical Systems of Systems-based, trusted (safe/secure), climate neutral and digitized production.

nextworks role:

Our role in the project involves coordinating the Innovation & IP management activities, as well as leading the design, development and implementation of the federated, transparent, flexible, and trustable data infrastructure and DevOps tools for continuous data-driven models. The data infrastructure elements aim to support the secure data exchange in the different project use cases and data exchange scenarios, while the DevOps tools aims to provide a comprehensive set of open tools for deploying a private cloud in the industrial domain offering security and control over the deep industrial data on-premises while exploiting 5G NPN.
