main goal:
Aims to investigate satellite-based extensions to 5G architecture and use cases, targeting eMBB and mMTC services, analyzing new business models and multi-domain deployments combining NR and satellite networks. ANChOR has the objective of building an orchestration solution, compliant with ETSI NFV and 3GPP standards, that adopts Artificial Intelligent (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques for a truly dynamic and data-driven resource allocation and slice management.
nextworks role:
Project coordination and technical management. Design of 5G network management system with integrated control of satellite links in access and backhaul domains and closed-loop network optimization based on AI/ML techniques. Implementation of management components for end-to-end network slices, core and transport networks. Implementation of monitoring platform in support of AI/ML network optimization tools.
